This is an easy and inexpensive but hearty chowder for a cold or foggy day.
Ingredients
2 T butter
1 onion chopped
2 stalks celery chopped
2 T flour
2 C chicken broth
2 C half and half or use part milk
1 can salmon
1 can corn
1 can creamed corn
salt and pepper
dill
Instructions
Saute onion and celery in butter until tender. Add flour and stir till well blended. Add chicken stock a little at a time to blend. Stir and simmer until thickened. Add salmon, corn, and spices. Add half and half and heat thoroughly. Add dill.
