Salmon Corn Chowder

This is an easy and inexpensive but hearty chowder for a cold or foggy day.
Ingredients
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 stalks celery chopped
  • 2 T flour
  • 2 C chicken broth
  • 2 C half and half or use part milk
  • 1 can salmon
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 can creamed corn
  • salt and pepper
  • dill
Instructions
  1. Saute onion and celery in butter until tender. Add flour and stir till well blended. Add chicken stock a little at a time to blend. Stir and simmer until thickened. Add salmon, corn, and spices. Add half and half and heat thoroughly. Add dill.
